Parador De Guadalupe

Located in the Extremaduran town of Guadalupe, this impressive Parador has been wonderfully converted from a 15th-century hospital. It is surrounded by lovely gardens, a pool and has a fine restaurant. Enjoy regional cuisine in the Parador de Turismo Guadalupe which serves specialities from the Extremaduran region in an imaginative and delicious way. Wander through the Parador de Turismo de Guadalupe and admire the attractive architecture with its beautiful archways, sunny terraces and views over the countryside. From the outdoor pool, notice the contrast of white walls and terracotta walls which is typically Spanish. Visited but didn't stay here. Nice place but a little tired. It's a pity as, with a bit of effort, it could be somewhere very special. I remember - many years ago - that it was much more cared for before. If I sound picky I should point out that a double

Very nice historic hotel (an old hospital), next to the monastery. Lovely rooms, great inner courtyard with restaurant and bar, nice swimming pool, excellent breakfast.

Lovely old building, just the right modern touches i.e air conditioning. Swimming pool was a welcome feature after a days hot motorcycling. Food very good. If you have a discount voucher from another parador for food present it when signing or paying for

What a great place to stop between Seville and Madrid. We stopped in Guadalupe and had a fantastic lunch at the Parador while travelling home from Seville. An excellent Menu Traditionale in a sunny courtyard under blossoming lemon and orange trees. MAGIC!
