Description:
The design of this club resort is based on the traditional timber longhouses of the region's native Iban Tribes. Facilities on offer include an entrance hall, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility and a restaurant. Younger guests are offered a playground. There is also a laundry service provided.
Guests are given the opportunity to experience real longhouse-style lodgings in the traditional Bornean 31 m² rooms with garden views and sliding patio door windows. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, as well as a TV set, tea and coffee-making facilities and individually adjustable air conditioning as standard. Guests can catch up on work at the desk or relax in the easy chair provided.
Guests can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool, while kids can keep themselves entertained in their own separate pool area. A host of activities and excursions can be arranged by staff at the resort, including visits to authentic Iban Longhouses, guided jungle trekking and nature walks, longboat river cruises and trips to local waterfalls.
There is a restaurant on site, featuring traditional indigenous decor and serving a selection of Asian and western dishes, including fresh fish from the lake. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Wong Irup lounge is decorated with symbols of Sarawak's rich cultural past and serves a wide range of tropical thirst-quenchers and cocktails.
