Location: Best Western Premier Hotel Katajanokka - Merikasarminkatu 1a - Helsinki 00160 - Southern Finland - Finland [see map]
Description: Rooms are modern and made from old prison sells that adds plenty of character with the arch sealing and unique windows. Both rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition and very stylishly decorated. Restaurant is on the lower floor with interesting deco of red brick walls and dark furniture. This unique hotel is recently done and renovated from the historical Katajanokka prison building. Lobby is medium in size and opens corridors to small library/seating area and other parts of the hotel. This hotel is one of kind and suitable for travellers who want to experience something different. The standard of the rooms and services are good and also location close to city centre but still in peaceful surroundings close to the sea. He pasado unos días en este hotel y la verdad que un poco decepcionante. Si quieres ver el aspecto de una prisión no hace falta quedarse a dormir, ya que puedes ir a cenar o tomar alguna copa y ves el sitio. El servicio es regular por su calidad precio. Es un poco caro por lo que es, lo que haces es pagar la experiencia. La ubicación esta a 4 o 5 paradas del tram número 4 y acaba pronto por la noche, asi que estas un poco apartado. [read more]

Es un hotel muy original construido sobre una cárcel manteniendo los rasgos sobre alla pero con todas las comodidades .esta situado cerca del puerto de ferris y a un paso del centro ideal para hacer turismo. [read more]

En general las condiciones del hotel están bastante bien, cien por cien recomendable, cerca del centro, bonito hotel y las instalaciones perfectas, aunque las reposiciones de la habitacion como son las del cuarto de baño había días que no ponían nada, pero por lo demás genial, lo recomiendo. Es un hotel muy diferente a los demás hoteles en Helsinki, ya que se ha construido dentro de una cárcel. Su ubicación es buena ya que está en una zona muy tranquila a menos de diez minutos andando del mercadillo del puerto y de las calles principales. Además hay dos tranvías (el 4 y el 4B) que paran a la puerta y que te llevarán en pocos minutos a cualquier parte de Helsinki (Un consejo, si el autobús del aeropuerto te deja en la Estación Central de Autobuses, pregunta por la parada del tranvía 4 o 4B junto a la tienda de H&M, que no está muy lejos y te ahorrarás el precio del taxi).
