Mosles is a few minutes drive from Omaha Beach and some of the other D-Day Landing beaches stretching along to Arromanches, which, apart from reminders of that time, are also some of the most unspoilt sandy beaches on the coast. Bayeux is 10 kms from here, an attractive, historic town and home of the extraordinary tapestry, which chronicals the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Camembert, cider, calvados and fresh seafood, green pastureland, apple orchards and, some of the best food to be had in France, make up some of the delights of Normandy.
