Description: The Hotel Villa Mater is located a few minutes away by car from the historical centre of Catania and enjoys a stunning view: the sea of Ognina and the "plaia's" white sandy beaches on one side, and Mt. Etna that in the course of the seasons passes from snow-capped peaks to naked slopes crossed by fiery tongues of its own lava. The Hotel has been completely renovated last year. 30 rooms with a variety of double or twin ,single, triple and quadruple . All rooms are large, comfortable, quiet and very cleaned.All rooms have different views: seaside or the Etna Mount. En-suite bath with shower and bath amenities included. Hairdryer on request. Wake up call. Room service at additional cost.The terrace offers a stunning view of Catania city, Etna and the seaside. A private garden and a private parking is also available for free at the hotel.Internet access at the lobby - cost will be charged. La atencion del servicio al completo muy buena, con interes en agradar y atender adecuadamente a su clientela. Las personas de la recepcion, segun dia y hora, muy amables y serviciales. La persona que atiende la zona del desayuno (comedor) muy agradable y sin molestar. La ubicacion para mi ha sido perfecta puesto que buscaba tranquilidad y eso solo lo ofrece estar algo retirado en una ciudad tan bulliciosa y ruidosa como Catania. Al centro se llega en 20 minutos en bus (2 lineas) que recorren la arteria principal de la ciudad. La limpieza y el estado de la habitacion como debe ser. Limpio todo y en perfecto estado. La Ubicación del hotel es buena para ingresar y egresar de la ciudad, aunque está alejado del centro de catania. En lo demás... correcto. El personal de recepción no parece amigable. [read more]
