Location: Hotel Swissôtel Amsterdam - Damrak, 96 - Amsterdam 1012 LP - North Holland - Netherlands [see map]
Description: The bedrooms vary in size depending on which part of the building they are situated. They are, in general, quite large with up-to-date decor in shades of blue offering a high level of comfort. Some rooms have recently been refurbished, and are extremely modern decorated in deeper contrasting colours with new furniture. The bathrooms are all medium sized and also in good condition, especially the newer ones. There is a small restaurant and bar available to hotel guests serving both Dutch and Swiss dishes at very reasonable prices. The hotel consists of several old houses which have been joined together. Recently renovated, the lobby is a lot more modern and much brighter with marble floor and pale colours. The reception desk is in wood and steel. El Hotel esta en una situacion inmejorable, en plena plaza Dam. La habitacion 419 por ejemplo da al interior y no tiene ningun ruido, no puedo opinar de las que den a la fachada principal porque cuando pitan los tranvias no hay cristal que lo tape. Pero no es molesto. El trato es muy cordial, no solo en el Hotel, sino en Amsterdam en general. Eso si, si no quereis que os llamen insistentemente a la habitacion es mejor que pongais un cartel de no molestar, porque fueron bastante pesados.
