Description: All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, double glazing, in-room safe, satellite television, direct dial telephone and modem connections. During spring, buffet breakfast is served in the garden. The hotel has 24 hours room service available. This is a historic building. The lobby is small but very elegant. During the second half of the XVIII century a mansion was built within the St.Jorge's Castle walls. The mansion combines elements of the rationalist Pombal style of building. We liked the hotel and its location. It is very beautiful, the restauration was well performed, the newly added portion of the building fits in with the old "kitchen of the castel". The patio is a wonderful place to sit. The personnel was very helpful and friendly. We like the cosy atmosphere. The only downside were the peacocks from the castel which woke us up very early each morning. It would also have been good to be advised there was a concert going on in the castel for 3 days... Nevertheless, we liked the hotel very much. [read more]
