Every room is different from the rest they have been decorated with wood furniture, some four-poster beds beds to keep its medieval style. The ones in the tower deserve to be highlighted, from the castle windows there are delightful views of the town, the deep gorge and the river Jucar surrounded by the plains of Cuenca. The cuisine typical of the region includes, amongst others, specialities such as El Morteruelo (finely chopped spiced and breaded pork), los Zarajos (cured lamb tripe) and las Gachas de almortas (another pork dish). This 8th century castle, a genuine medieval fortress, can be appreciated in its keep, on the battlements and inside. The lobby as the rest of the public areas are decorated with military motifs such as armour, swords and standards. Other cities easily visited by car from the parador are Cuenca famous for its Hanging Houses and the Ciudad Encantada (The Enchanted City) which resembles a silent ghost city because of the singular stone shapes. 1208AB 13 Rooms
