North of the island Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands, we find a paradise where to practice surfing, the beach of Corralejo.
It is a small village, very tourist and nice, with many shops, restaurants and a shopping mall, which attracts the young tourists as the atmosphere is very animated, most of the nightlife is focused on the Avenue "Generalissimo Franco" which is the town's main street. In this and its neighboring streets you'll find plenty of locals and bars of all kind to enjoy all night.
It is a place that you can visit and go swimming throughout the year, so if... you have to expect a large wave, it is one of the most crowded places for surfers. There, with a temperature of 23 degrees in winter, being bad weather for the islanders, we can get an idea of how its going to look like.
The original part of the town is centered on the old pier, there is a small beach to go swimming without any danger and usually the swimming competitions are held here. In the area of Corralejo it has also areas where nudism is practiced, although it does not have limited areas, usually those who do prefer to practice nudism are far away from the town.
The good thing about being on an island where we can move and get to know it through very short journeys, among the activities of Fuerteventura is the Canaria Crafts School, or the Botanical Park in "La Lajita", just to mention two places near the Corralejo.
Finally the fishing village of Corralejo itself has its own charm, to stroll and enjoy it, some areas are protected by stone walls because of the strong waves, it is also possible to do diving.
