The town of Torremolinos is one of the great banners of the beach tourism in our country, it is one of the most visited areas at the Costa del Sol and receives many foreign tourists who are eager to enjoy the typical Andalusian bars and the services at their beaches.
As the beaches are the main attraction for the tourists, they are equipped with all kind of amenities and services, such as having a special access for disabled persons and being easily accessible, no matter if you are coming on foot or by car to enjoy any of the beaches. Torremolinos has a total of four beaches: Bajondillo, Carihuela, Playamar and Los Álamos, the first two being the most famous ones. All these beaches are very clean and of fine, golden sand.
The waves at their coasts are not very strong, which allows you to enjoy swimming without any danger and practicing all kind of sports, like any beach which is mentioned, the beaches of Torremolinos do have a signal service from the state of the sea, and the blue flags of the European Community are showing the good quality which they offer... Toilets, showers, renting hammocks, umbrellas, telephone and bins are other services which count.
The city connects with the beach at a lower place which forms the street of San Miguel and is frequented by many tourists and leads just to the Carihuela. The city, due to its closeness with Malaga and Benalmádena is united with them through the promenade, and the same is true for the kitchen, so its normal to enjoy the so typical fried fish from the kitchen of the malagueña... it has many restaurants and taverns which are near the beach and are allowing us to enjoy the gastronomy
nearby the sea.
Torremolinos has also water parks, bowling alleys, casinos and even a unique crocodile park in the Costa del Sol to the delight of their visitors. Besides of being a town with a long history you can visit some places like the Tower of Pimentel, and enjoying the cultural activities which are taking place in the village.
As for the nightlife you will find many bars, flamenco that are well-frequented by foreigners, at night the bars at the promenade are going to be transformed into discos nearby the sea, and it is illuminated to give the artists the possibility to expose their work alongside the sea, together with the improvised clubs at night, which are connecting the restaurants and cafes which are remaining open until the permitted time. But the area of restaurants, terraces and nightclubs that remain throughout the night are focused in the Pueblo Blanco, La Nogalera, la calle Casablanca, Avenida Palma de Mallorca and the Avenida Carlotta Alessandri where the fun does not stop until sunrise.
