  This building from the 15^th century is a beautiful example of the Mudéjar style in Cáceres. It was declared Historic-Artistic Monument.

  Impressive Gothic style house, built around the end of the 15^th century or the early 16^th.

• Casa del Águila (House of the Eagle)
  This stately house has a precious Gothic window from the 15^th century.

• Casa del Sol o de los Solís (House of the Sol or of the Solís)
  House-fortress in Gothic style built in the 15^th century and renewed in the 16^th century. The facade presents the coat of arms of the family Solís, consisting of a sun, whose rays are being eaten by eight snake heads, with a helmet above all that. Inside, you will find a small Renaissance patio from the 16^th century.

• Torre de Bujaco (Bujaco Tower)
  This 25 m-high tower, one of the symbols of Cáceres, was built around the 12^th century and was used to defend the wall and the city. The visit is recommendable, as a great deal of the city can be seen from the top of the merlon. Nowadays, this building is the headquarters of the Center for Interpreting the Three Cultures, in which you will find the explanation of the different historical periods of the rests that the city still preserve.

• Iglesia Concatedral de Santa María (Co-cathedral of St. Mary)
  built between the 15^th and 16^th centuries, this church is the biggest and most relevant Christian temple in the city of Cáceres. The small museum inside shows sacred art, silver and gold pieces, and textile items.

• Iglesia de San Mateo (Church of St. Mathew)
  It was built in the 16^th century. Its interior is austere, although some decoration appears in the baroque high altar and some heraldic crests. Another highlight is the Plateresque decoration of the main facade.

• Iglesia de Santiago de los Caballeros (Church of St. James of the Knights)
  This church, the most interesting building outside the wall of the old town, was rebuilt in the 16^th century by Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón. The four-floor altarpiece is its main highlight, and displays scenes of the life of Christ and another saints.

• Santuario de la Virgen de la Montaña (Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Mountain)
  located in the Sierra de la Mosca, a mountain chain around 600 m above the sea level. From it, you will get a gorgeous perspective of the city. The interior is decorated in Baroque style and the main altarpiece is Churrigueresque.

• Ermita de San Antonio (Chapel of St. Anthony)
  It is a small chapel, founded in the 15^th century. The beauty of the popular style of the exteriors is especially appalling.

• Ermita de la Paz (Chapel of the Peace)
  This old chapel, built over the rests of a Renaissance chapel dedicated to St. Benedict, has a Baroque altarpiece by the sculptor Pedro Correa that depicts the Virgin with the child.

• Convento de San Pablo (Convent of St. Paul)
  Cloister built at the end of the 15^th century. It has a small Baroque church with Gothic interiors.

• Museo de Cáceres (Cáceres Museum)
  located in the Old City, its exhibitions are displayed in two historic buildings: the Casa de las Veletas (House of the Weather Vanes) and the Casa de los Caballos (The House of the Horses). In the rooms, Prehistoric, Roman and Moorish findings are displayed. Moreover, in the same building, the visitor can see a Spanish-Arabic well belonging to the medieval city, the Fine Arts collection, and the temporary exhibitions.

• Museo de Esculturas al Aire Libre (Open-air Sculpture Museum)
  It was inaugurated in 1997, when the sculptures were installed in the park of the Prince (Parque del Príncipe). The collection displays 27 sculptures by celebrated Spanish artists, such as Aurelio Teno, Luis Caruncho, Amador Rodríguez, Feliciano Hernández, José Luís Sánchez, and others.

• Museo de Historia y Cultura (Museum of History and Culture)
  The museum 'Casa Pedrilla' displays works by local famous artists. Also, an explanatory and didactic exhibition goes through the history of Extremadura, from Prehistory until our times. In the same building we can find the House-Museum of the Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamín, where you can see some of his works and a collection of pre-Columbian and colonial art.
