• Cimadevilla
  It is the ancient core of Gijón. It had a fortified military zone which was turned into a big park.
  
  
• Ciudadela de Celestino Solar (Residential Community of Celestino Solar)
  Represents one of the most characteristic models of worker's housing in Asturias. It was built in 1877 and was inhabited for more than a century. Visits must be concerted by telephone.

• Elogio del Horizonte (Praise of the Horizon)
  This 10 meters high concrete monument was made by the sculptor Eduardo Chillida. It has become a symbol of the city.

• Termas Romanas (Roman baths)
  The Roman Baths, built between the 1^st and the 4^th centuries AC, were the public baths in the city. Next to the site are displayed some objects and archaeological remains that reflect the construction techniques and daily life of that period. There are another highlight features such as the Hypocausts, which work as a heating system, and the mural paintings

• Acuario de Gijón (Aquarium of Gijón)
  This aquarium offers 60 sweet and salty water aquariums that will bring the visitor much closer to the flora and fauna of the oceans worldwide. The main objective of the aquarium is to educate in the preservation of the oceans. Because of that, an area called toca toca ('just touch') has been created: in these small pools, the visitor can touch starfishes, as well as small fishes and sea cucumbers.

• Dólmenes del Monte Areo (Dolmens of the Mount Areo)
  This tumular necropolis is one of the main concentration of this kind of funerary structures along the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Located in the mount Areo, a few kilometers from the city center of Gijón, this structures are about 5,000 years old.
