  The Aljafería is the country's finest Muslim-era building outside Andalusia, although it's not in the league of Granada's Alhambra or Córdoba's Mosque. • Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar)
  This basilica is Spain's largest Baroque church from the 17^th and 18^th century. The temple was designed in 1681 by Felipe Sánchez y Herrera and transformed in the 18^th century by Ventura Rodríguez, who gave the church its actual appearance, with its 4 towers and 11 cupolas in blue, green, yellow and white.
  The Pillar, with a diminutive image of the Virgin at the top, is surrounded by pilgrims who flock daily to touch it and be blessed by its powers. The greatest piece of fine art is the 16^th-century alabaster altarpiece by Damián Forment. Among the treasures of the cathedral is La Reina de los Mártires (Mary, Queen of Martyrs), by Goya.

• La Seo. Catedral de San Salvador (Cathedral of St. Salvador)
  It was built between the 12^th and 17^th century and displays a fabulous range of architectural styles, from Romanesque to Baroque. The gleaming exterior is Gothic-Mudéjar with some Baroque and Renaissance details, and the northwest facade is a Mudéjar masterpiece. Inside, the visitor can have access to the cathedral treasures, including the superb main altarpiece and famous tapestries.
