| | Really is at the doors of the ticket office for the Alhambra! The location is quiet, peacful and just perfect for Alhambra visits. It is a bus ride to the main city - which is busy and noisy and hot, so we were so glad to be staying out of the city in such a peaceful location amongst the trees. Friendly staff, who were attentive, helpful and did there best to understand our Spanish! The staff speak some English, too, but were happy to help us practice our Spanish. We had a very helpful chef, who dealt well with our allergies cheerfully, and was able to advise us just what we could and could not eat.The breakfasts were excellent - but don't go down after 9.15am, as there were no croissants/cakes left! Come early for a real feast! Buffet restaurant had a varied selection of delicious dishes and was reasonably priced. Drinks not included, but were not over the top expensive. Buffet ending at 10pm seemed a little early for Spanish eating, but there was another, quite expensive, al la carte restaurant on the 3rd floor, for late dining. Pool seating area was a little small, with not enough shade/sun umbrellas, but the pool was warm and a good size. Our room, for 3, was quite spacious and very clean. Air conditioning worked well, and owing to the quiet location, we slept likes tops! Would go again, if re-visiting the amazing Palace of the Moorish Kings - just a great 2 nights stay - thanks to all the staff . |
