Accommodation Hotels Hotel rooms and other accommodation are still very limited and very expensive, especially for independent travellers. A Government tax of 12 per cent is added to all bills. Self Catering Available in Dili only. Expect to pay high prices. Youth Hostels Youth hostels are popular in East Timor and are widely available. Camping/Caravanning Camping/Caravanning are unavailable at present.
