Description of the Rural Hotel El Carmen:

Built from stone and wood in the traditional Asturian style, this countryside hotel is surrounded by 2,000 m² of gardens and the mountains of the Sierra de la Escapa beyond.

Located 4 km outside of the town of Ribadesella, the Hotel El Carmen provides a tranquil location for a stay in the beautiful, green countryside of Asturias. The hotel's gardens are full of oak, chestnut, beech and willow trees, as well as a trickling stream running down to a pond full of water lilies. Inside the hotel you can relax beside the fireplace in the peaceful lounge area, where you can also make use of the internet corner.

The nearby town of Ribadesella boasts a beautiful, clean sandy beach on the Asturian coast. With its quaint harbour and mountain backdrop, it is one of the most picturesque locations in northern Spain.


The el Carmen is set among pretty 2,000 m² gardens. The hotel building enjoys a structure of stone and wood which is perfect harmony with its surroundings. Enjoy a stroll through the gardens and admire oaks and chestnut trees and later, bamboo plants and waterlilies.

There is a games room located in the hotel where you can relax in front of the open fireplace and enjoy the free internet access.
