Description of the Gran Hotel Sol y Mar:

Opened in 2007, this design hotel offers exclusive decoration and maximum comfort. It has 9 floors with a total of 327 rooms, of which 285 are doubles, 29 are junior suites, one is a suite and 12 are rooms adapted for guests with disabilities. In the entrance hall guests will find a 24-hour reception desk with a currency exchange, a safe, luggage storage and more services. The air-conditioned establishment also features the Llum lobby bar, TV area, the Urban smoking room with a TV; 2 restaurants, the Anfora buffet style restaurant with a wide variety of regional and international products, and Abiss à la carte restaurant with fine cuisine (local charge); as well as banqueting and meeting rooms. In addition, the hotel has a shopping arcade with shops and a supermarket. In the public areas there is free ADSL WIFI access. For an additional charge there is room service, laundry service and car park (subject to availability).

The spacious, well-cared for and modern rooms almost all have a terrace and sea views. All offer a fully equipped bathroom with hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, ADSL WIFI Internet access, a safe, minibar (local charge), a double bed, individual air conditioning and heating.

The hotel offers an out-door swimming pool infront of the sea with direct acess to the beach, they also offer a fitness centre and luxurious SPA with sauna, steam bath, tanning studio, massages, and aerobics classes (all with extra cost). In the region guests will find several golf courses: 8 km away there is a 9-hole course, 23 km away the 18-hole course of La Sella Golf course, and 24 km away in Benidorm there are two 18-hole golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Hotel excelente, la habitación amplia y moderna, la comida estupenda y muy variada. La única pega que tiene pocas instalaciones (el spa es caro) y la piscina exterior es pequeña.   [read more]
