Description of the Hotel Hospedería Castillo Papa Luna:

The hotel has been listed as a national monument since June 1931 and is located on a rocky outcrop on the highest hill in Illueca. Its construction during the 13th century was ordered by Juan Martínez de Luna whose son, Pedro Luna, gained a name in history as Benedict XIII, Pope Luna. This 3-storey hotel was renovated in 2006 and comprises a total of 26 rooms of which 2 are junior suites, 2 are suites and 2 rooms have been adapted to cater to disabled guests. Amongst the facilities at this air-conditioned historical hotel count a foyer with a reception desk, a lift, a bar, an à la carte restaurant, a lounge, a café and a breakfast. The conference and seminar centre has a capacity of 100 persons. A car park is on offer to those arriving by car .

The rooms each feature a bathroom with a hairdryer, a minibar, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, a double or king-sized bed and a terrace. The heating and air conditioning are individually controllable. The 4 suites come with 2 double beds. There is a room on the top of the southwest fortified tower affording breathtaking views out over the surrounding area. Four rooms have private balconies facing towards the north.

Excelente calidad -precio, buen hotel para parejas   muy limpia , fabuloso el trato del personal, tuvimos una incidencia con la calefacción pq no funcionaba , y nos cambiaron a una habitación mejor, lo única queja seri la comida q aunque muy buena , era algo repetida Muy contenta , fue un buen fin de semana, lo recomiendo y seguro q repetiré.   [read more]
