The Laguna is a short walk from the heart of the city centre of Zagreb in a quiet residential area. It is a typical 3-star hotel, with recently upgraded public areas which offer internet facilities. Bedrooms are quite basic, but clean and in good order. The building was constructed in 1973 and offers such amenities as a hairdresser's shop, beauty salon, fitness centre with sauna, dry cleaner's and laundry, bank, air-conditioned restaurant, banqueting hall, "Laguna" club, cocktail lounge, souvenir and newspapers shop. The large restaurant is also known for its quality food, including traditional Istrian dishes and a variety of specialities featuring Croatian and international cuisine.

En general el hotel está muy bien, a unos 15 min en tranvía del Centro. Bastante limpio, salvo un par de excepciones la atención es buena, la comida no está mal para lo barato que es. La relación calidad/precio está bastante bien. Mis quejas puntuales son que ofrece servicio de Internet inalámbrico para todo el hotel cuando en realidad sólo funcionaba en la recepción y no perfectamente. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba, dijeron que sería breve pero en los 5 días que estuve ahí no funcionó nunca, por suerte no fue totalmente indispensable y en general puedo darme por satisfecho.
