Description of the Hotel Maria Cristina:

Inaugurated in 1912 by the queen mother, after whom it was named, this hotel is the most emblematic of the city. Offering 136 air-conditioned rooms spread over 5 floors, it also has a lobby with 24-hour reception, 24-hour check-in/check-out, hotel safe, currency exchange facility, lift access, a café, restaurant, conference facilities, Internet and WLAN access (both subject to fees), as well as room and laundry services (both subject to fees). The Gritti Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a delightful atmosphere whilst having a drink or a coffee.

The rooms are provided with all the amenities required to ensure a comfortable stay, including a minibar, hairdryer, interactive satellite TV, Internet access, double line direct dial telephones, ironing set, individually adjustable air-conditioning and heating and safe deposit box. Also of note are the bathrooms with Italian marble bathtubs, and the luxury double or king-size beds. Balconies and terraces also feature.
