Description of the Hotel Islantilla Golf Resort:

Built in 2001 and renovated in 2003, this beach hotel is surrounded by 10,600 m² of gardens and borders a main road. The complex is spread between 2 buildings over 4 floors with 97 double rooms as well as 95 suites and 12 bungalows. Facilities on offer include a foyer, a 24-hour reception desk, lifts, a café, shops and a hairdresser's salon. Also offered is a bar, a café, an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with highchairs for infants, a public Internet terminal (for an additional fee) but free cable internet connection in the room, and a conference room. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities. Younger guests may let off steam in the playground and participate in the kids' club activities. Laundry and medical services (on request) round off the services on offer

The well-equipped rooms come with a bathroom with hairdryer. Further facilities include air conditioning, a minibar, a hire safe, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a balcony or terrace and an Internet connection.

The outdoor complex has a swimming pool, a poolside bar as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. In addition, an indoor pool, a gym, various water sports activities such as surfing, windsurfing, (catamaran) sailing and canoeing are all offered. Guests may make use of the spa area with a sauna, a solarium, a steam room and a massage service as well as various spa treatments. Additionally, road and mountain bikes can be hired. The hotel is encompassed by its own golf course and an entertainment programme is also offered to guests, dependant on the season.

Estuvimos para un el puente de noviembre. Dos parejas, con dos niños y un bebe. No hay actividades para niños ni muchos sitios donde puedan jugar. Para ir a la playa hay que coger coche, aunque no se tardan ni cinco minutos. El personal, las instalaciones y el ambiente es muy bueno. La comida de buena calidad, aunque con poca variedad en la cena. En general esta muy bien. Es limpio, buen gusto en las habitaciones, y las junior suites son muy cómodas.   [read more]
