The guesthouse, together with the Hospital Real, was opened in 1499 for the purpose of offering lodgings to travellers to Santiago. It continues to offer a warm welcome to those who come to enjoy this city, which is as diverse as it is fascinating. Considered to be the oldest hotel in the world, it is also one of the most luxurious and beautiful around. It offers 4 beautiful monastic yards, elegant surroundings and spectacular rooms. The air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 137 rooms in total and features a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe, currency exchange facility, cloakroom and lift access. A café, bar, TV room and restaurants also feature. Room and Laundry services, conference facilities and WLAN/Internet access are available. Guests arriving by car may like to take advantage of the parking facilities on offer.

The hotel offers a variety of rooms. Standard rooms come with 2 beds which are 1.05 m in size and a full en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, bathtub/shower, bidet and a wash basin with 2 basins.
