Description of the Hotel Santa Catalina:

This luxury hotel was built in 1890 and renovated in 2005. It comprises a total 202 rooms spread over 4-floors. Amongst the first-class facilities count a spacious lobby area, a Spa centre, bars, a casino with free entrance, public Internet terminal, WLAN access to Internet, conference rooms and 2 restaurants. There is also a room service and laundry service as well as car parking facilities and garage. Finally, there is 1,000 m² of beautifully kept gardens surrounding the hotel.

The comfortable, colonial style rooms come with a marble bathroom, a hairdryer, telephone, satellite/ cable TV, Internet access, a mini bar, air conditioning, a safe (included in the room price) and a Canary Island style balconies and terraces.

A freshwater swimming pool with sun loungesr and parasols is to be found in the garden complex. There is also a spa centre (access to those aged 16 and over, spa treatments come at an additional price) with sauna, a Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, a gym and paddel facilities. Golfers are entitled to a reduction on green fees at El Cortijo en Telde course (is not hotel-owned).

Un hotel cómodo, pero mi habitación algo sosa, faltaba color para quitarla un poco la sensación de estar en una habitación demasiada triste y antigua. De todas formas, era un hotel cómodo, y con todos los servicios que uno esperaría. eso sí, la relación precio/calidad considero bien solo en relación al precio de oferta que pagué através de destinia...............no merecía la pena pagar los precios normales del hotel, especialmente si uno considera su ubicación.   [read more]
