Pas de la Casa sector is a wide valley, taking the form of a big natural gully with high walls that gradually open out as you reach the lower areas. A good example are the Jordi Anglès black runs, under the Coll dels Isards; or the Taupes, FIS and Corvater in the Costa Rodona area, with a very steep gradient and only apt for expert skiers and boarders.

The higher slopes are predominantly intermediate and high level reds, while in the lower area there’s a very wide blue run (Tubs) which goes back down to the town and is ideal for all levels.

With a good snowfall, the Coll dels Isards area is a paradise for off-piste enthusiasts.

Pas de la Casa’s mountain environment is similar to that of the Alpine resorts, with restaurants and cafés tucked into the sides of runs, giving the place a great atmosphere.

This sector has the most competition activity and especially for alpine skiing. The Francesc Viladomat International Competition Stadium holds races every weekend counting towards the Andorran Championship, the Spanish Championship or even European level F.I.S. races. Adding to the atmosphere are the various ski clubs that use the facilities for seasonal sports training. This is possible even at night, with newly installed floodlights.

Finally, at the permanent Skicross and Boardercross Track as well as at the Bumps Slope mogul field, you’ll find some of the best riders training in their disciplines. For beginner and intermediate freestylers, there’s a newly improved Snowpark in the lower part of the sector, perfect for leaning your first freestyle tricks.

Among the Adventure Activities for this sector, try a Snowmobiles as the area of Port d’Envalira is one of the most popular with local skidoo riders due to its ideal terrain. Grandvalira organizes two-hour trips up to the Port d’Envalira. This is a great alternative activity and ideal for those wanting to experience new sensations.
