The resort’s orientation and geographical location guarantee the quantity and quality of its snow throughout the season. The strategic distribution of its lifts (5 chair lifts and 8 ski lifts), their capacity for transport (16,510 people per hour) and the variety of pistes on offer prevent skiers from getting caught up in crowds.

The resort has everything necessary to make skiing an intensely enjoyable experience, including restaurants, bars, terraces, equipment hire facilities, a transport service, 1,500 parking spaces at the foot of the pistes, a skiing school, a snow crèche, a baby club, a medical service, ticket offices and a customer care service.

The resort also boasts a snowmobile circuit and a snow park, as well as a spectacular boarder and ski cross area.

In March 2003, the certifying body TüV issued the Ordino – Arcalís snowfield with certification to the effect that the latter was the first European company to work on the basis of a comprehensive management system encompassing:
- ISO 14001/1996 as regards environmental protection.
- ISO 9001/2000 in terms of the quality of lift maintenance, the manufacture of artificial snow and customer service.
- OHSAS 18001 in relation to the prevention of hazards faced by the organisation’s staff.
- HACCP, based on the CODEX ALIMENTARIUS, with a view to ensuring optimal levels of hygiene and quality in the process of preparing all the food served at the restaurants on the snowfield.
