Description of the Zimbali Playa Spa Hotel:

Superbly situated and opened in 2006, this hotel combines Andalusian charm with excellent hotel and room services. The hotel comprises 236 rooms, an inviting lobby with a 24-hour reception desk and safes. The hotel also has a selection of shops, a hairdressing salon and a bicycle hire service. Further facilities include a restaurant and a cosy bar. The hotel is additionally suited to business guests with its conference room with an Internet connection. Those arriving by car may make use of the garage park (additional fees apply).

The rooms are modern and tasteful and they feature a bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and a hire safe. In addition rooms are fitted with a minibar as well as individually heating and air conditioning. Moreover, each room has a balcony or terrace overlooking the sea.

There is a swimming pool with in the well-kept outdoor complex as well as free of charge sun loungers and pool towels. It is possible to play bocce or enjoy participating in archery. There is also a varied activity programme to keep guests entertained.

We were very pleased with every aspect of the hotel but for the fact that it is very much a FAMILY hotel, where almost 30% of the residents were small children. This made the dining-room and public areas very noisy. Not ideal for elderly or childless people.   [read more]
