In the hills above Sundvollen sits Kleivstua, a collection of traditional buildings carefully restored to offer modern accommodation overlooking Steinsfjord. The hotel is 40 minutes’ drive from Oslo. All rooms at Kleivstua come with free Wii-Fi, a private bathroom, a seating area and CD player. Each is individually designed and furnished traditionally, and some rooms have a private sauna. A communal sauna and a small shop are also found on-site, and the hotel restaurant serves a 4-course meal each evening prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Guests can relax in the grand conservatory overlooking the valley below. Tyrifjord golf club is only 4 km deom Kleivstua, while guests can also enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding area. A shuttle service can be booked for Sundvollen bus station which provides connections for onward travel.
