Tourism in Cadaques
as beeing the summer residence of Salvador Dalí, who has left his marks in the region. It is one of the most visited areas of the Costa Brava.
There are 13 beaches, including three nudist beaches... with an unbeatable quality and some incredible landscapes to enjoy. The bay is located at the foot of an incredible villa which made Dali fall in love with it and became his second home, this bay leads to one of the most visited and well-known natural harbors of the Catalan coast. Usually it is also the meeting point for divers.
The cultural alternatives which cadaqués offers are countless: visiting the Dali museum, the Natural Park of Cape Creus, the Lighthouse Cala Nans, the Castell de Sant Jaume...
At the beach of Gran and Esportal is where most of the tourism is focused, while in some others like Es Poal its rather the swimming, but what prevails is enjoying the views provided by the town. The main beaches in Cadaqués are of pebbles, which is not very comfortable for swimmers.
On the beach of Llané Gran and Petit, we find dark sand and gravel where the crowded boats of the fishermen are, surrounded by typical houses of Cadaqués.
As a quiet village, Cadaqués does not have an intense night life to enjoy local music and clubs, it is better to go to Girona. The main thing in Cadaqués is to soak up the bohemia atmosphere which is reigning there.
