The Andalusian diet combines the best of traditional homemade stews with new and more sophisticated culinary compositions. Both options are possible and recommended. Now we are going to delve into it, reviewing a series of tapas bars and restaurants that are essential to know the gastronomic essence of Seville<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Las Columnas winery, an indispensable classic in Seville<\/h2>\n

Located on Rodrigo Caro Street, in the heart of Seville, is this old bodegueta, now converted into a tapas bar with all the Andalusian essence. Montaditos everywhere (pring\u00e1, sobrasada, cheese, melva, blood sausage, spicy chorizo, etc) and classic tapas such as ensaladilla, squid, croquettes, octopus or potatoes with seasoning. All with the look of a bar of yesteryear, in an unbeatable location for a stroll through the historic center.<\/p>\n

It is not expensive: the average tapa and the montaditos cost 2-5 euros. Drinks are also reasonably cheap. Although there are some seats, people usually eat standing up, at their high tables, being the typical bar where you stay at noon to chat with friends while snacking<\/strong>. Of course, it is usually quite crowded, so it is advisable to go early and with 15-20 \u20ac per diner for tapas.<\/p>\n

Its menu mixes classic dishes (papas bravas, rice or salad) with more exotic and risky ones, such as its famous gyozas. They have tapas to whet your appetite, dishes to share in the center and more “kitchen” portions. A place of young public and minimalist tapas<\/strong>, ideal to start an evening.<\/p>\n

The price per diner of its menu ranges between 15-20 \u20ac, if you go for tapas, and 30-45 \u20ac, if you want to eat well. It offers its clientele multiple vegan options.<\/p>\n

El Rinconcillo, a place of yesteryear<\/h2>\n

It is considered another of the classics of Sevillian tapas. A place located in the old town that breathes authenticity on all four sides<\/strong>. There is a little bit of everything. It is excellent value for money and has a picturesque ambiance. You can eat good meat, paella rice, carrill\u00e1, octopus or succulent tostas. Breakfast is also served.<\/p>\n

It is not uncommon to see people standing around its fa\u00e7ade, drinking beers and wine. The average price per diner is 15-25 \u20ac, somewhat lower if you go only for tapas.<\/p>\n

And a fact to take into account: it offers, in its cellar, a great selection of wines.<\/p>\n

If there is a traditional place in Seville is the Salom\u00f3n bar, known in the city for serving the best pinchitos<\/strong>. Located between Los Remedios and Triana, it is an inexpensive, pure place to try this specialty accompanied by a good beer; its garlic prawns, papas arrug\u00e1s<\/i> or veal with raisins and almonds are also certainly enjoyable. It is a good place to eat well, nice and cheap; you can leave the restaurant satiated for 10-20 \u20ac per diner, drink included. It has a terrace-fridge to enjoy the good weather.<\/p>\n

With an archetypal decoration that simulates a bar-winery of the late 19th century, Casa Morales is located at Calle Garc\u00eda de Vinuesa, 11, a short walk from the Cathedral of Seville. It offers select products in cazuelitas and papelones<\/strong>, octopus, salmorejo, ham toasts<\/i>, rice with carrill\u00e1… it is impossible to leave hungry. It has a vintage look, exhibits traditional decorative elements, and you usually have to eat at high tables, although there are some low ones. It is also possible to taste its dishes at the two tables on its terrace. It is necessary to prepare between 18 and 32 \u20ac to leave the place satisfied.<\/p>\n

On Avenida de Grecia, near the universities, is this restaurant that tries, in its own words, “to keep the essence of Seville”. It does so with an excellent recreation of traditional dishes, each one more succulent than the next: starred eggs, cheeses, almonds and raisins, stuffed artichokes, carrill\u00e1… you can taste Andalusian cuisine with a majestic presentation<\/strong>. The quality-price ratio is very good and the atmosphere is quiet and friendly. It is necessary to prepare between 20 and 35 \u20ac per diner, depending on the hunger of each one and if one chooses to taste some of its good wines.<\/p>\n

Bar Triana, tradition and good food in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in the city.<\/h2>\n

If there is a neighborhood that represents Seville, it is Triana. There you can find this little gastronomic corner of the same name, of humble dimensions and that has been able to improve its menu and the presentation of its dishes without renouncing to the classic Sevillian recipes<\/strong>. We are talking about croquetones with potatoes, veal, papas bravas, stuffed mushrooms, battered eggplants… a wide menu that will make any diner’s mouth water. All with a great customer service and located in an emblematic enclave. In addition, there is no need to worry about the price, which is quite reasonable: between 15 and 30 \u20ac per person to leave the place full.<\/p>\n

T\u00edpico Tapas Bar, its name explains it all.<\/h2>\n

The last recommendation lives up to its name. If you want to try typical Seville dishes<\/a>, this bar is a great choice. This is a very nice restaurant, located at Pages del Corro, 86, near the Maestranza. It offers nicely decorated dishes with a modern touch. Black rice, ensaladilla, salmorejo, tuna tartar, octopus… a menu that combines the best of Andalusia with some Mediterranean touches<\/strong>. Typical here. Ideally, diners should come to the restaurant with a reservation. A budget of between 30 and 50 \u20ac guarantees full satisfaction.<\/p>\n
