“Horrible experience”
NicoleReid20, 15 jun 2020
The owners were ignorant and unhelpful. Tried to refuse us a clean room after finding ants all over the mini fridge. The room was not in any way acceptable to sell. Absolutely disgusted with everything about this place. Not worth the money. Owner told me to F*** off when I was leaving. Owners wife went off on me when I approached her about the state of the room

We check in to a room . And it was not properly cleaned . Wash room was greasy. Tub was not properly cleaned.Mopping and vaccum was not done. Room was full of cob webs and spiders And we complained the night room boy about the fallen hairof different colours ,he argued that it was scratches.Towels were not washed . The bed Drapes were dusty. A big heater was in that small room. But was not working good. The Oven and fridge was kept one on the other. But to switch it we pulled the fridge out and connected the oven wire .Curtain was thin . No basket in the room. No paper towels No sufficient pillows. We were chilling in the room . Never again go this place.

“Very disappointed!”

For those who read some of my other hotel reviews, you will note that I stay in budget hotels when I travel. I pride myself in finding good value in accommodations: budget prices, with older, dated décor, but clean and comfortable.
This is NOT one of those hotels. It was inexpensive, but it was in a poor state of repair and cleanliness. We paid for 2 rooms with fridges and microwave ovens, but only one of the rooms had them. Door locks broken. Unrepaired water damage. Plugged bathroom fans. Enough said: just look at the pictures.
The only reason that it gets 1 star is the breakfast! Absolutely awesome! In addition to the usual continental breakfast fare at most breakfast included hotels, the breakfast bar included eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and waffles! It was delicious! -
“Clean. Neat. Quiet. Affordable”

Although a little old looking when I pulled in, the room was small but clean, neat and quiet. Very serviceable. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. The price was excellent and included free WIFI, parking and breakfast (muffins, fruit, toast, selection of spreads - peanut butter, jams, etc, orange juice, cereals with milk). Room had a large TV, table with 2 chairs, mini-fridge and microwave. It was perfect for a little getaway on a budget. Staff were very friendly. Location is good - next door to WIND restaurant if you like THAI and sushi and walking distance to outlet mall and other restaurants. I would stay here again - maybe in the summer when I could use the pool!

“Necessary overnight”

We were en-route to Niagara on the Lake to visit with friends the next day on Sunday. Even though we live in Buffalo and were coming from Toronto, it was more convenient to stay in Niagara Falls, ON since we were that much closer to NOTL and didn't have to worry about crossing and recrossing the border.
The motel's location was convenient itself based on location but that's as far as it goes. There were people there who appeared to be long term residents but they did not bother us even with all the smoking and drinking they did because they were far enough away and none of the messed with us or our car. The room was small to begin with and hard to get around. There was no place to store one's luggage and so we had to be creative in where to put it without tripping. The flat-screen TV was tiny and it had a limited selection of stations. WiFi did not work at all. The bathroom was a joke. First, there were little bugs crawling around the wall and the shower was hard to use (difficulty in controlling the flow of water) though the temperature stayed consistent for both my wife and my showers. The toilet did not work that well and consequently almost overflowed once but I was able to shut it off in time to avert a disaster.
Speaking of bugs, there was a big one on the side of one of the beds but that was all I can find. In addition, I stripped the beds checking for anything further and there were none.
The owner was nice enough to sell us a room and even went to so far to show it to us, but when we asked him for extra towels and face cloths, he granted our request but was less than happy to do it and gave us a cold "good night". We also asked for an extra hour for check out (we do that when we travel and never had a problem) and it was granted by his wife, but again not very friendly. As soon as we checked out five minutes before the appointed hour, he came around with his wife to check the room out for "damage" and released xxx$ he held on my credit card for that (I guess) and for the room key (I dared not ask him for a second key when I checked in). On that note, the door was hard to open with the key and I had trouble closing it when we went out for dinner.
Breakfast was included and was average but it was filling and good.
We needed a place to stay and we needed two beds and this motel was cheapest for what we were looking for. Unfortunately Niagara Falls like many other tourist areas are overall expensive and I could not find anything better for what I could afford at the time. This place is fine if you are in such situation as ours but if you want something better and you are staying longer and if you can afford it, splurge elsewhere!!
