We look forward to welcoming you to Glyn Isa 17th Century Country House The property which is our home, dates back to 1626, and offers rooms on a Bed and Breakfast or Room Only basis. We are closed to guests during the day, so we do ask that you leave the house between around 11 am and 4 pm each day, weather permitting. The house is one mile from Rowen village and approximately 3 miles from Conwy, North Wales. It is set in 10 acres of mature gardens and land against a backdrop of mountains on the edge of Snowdonia National Park with lovely views over the Conwy valley, just next to a fishing lake and Conwy Water Gardens.. Glyn Isa retains many of its original features, antiques, beams and open inglenook fireplaces. All our rooms have an en suite bathroom with either walk in shower room or en suite bath and shower. We also offer a guests' lounge with open fire for you to relax in after a long day's sight seeing. This is a peaceful spot, but the medieval walled town of Conwy, with Edward 1st, 13th Century castle plus many shops, bars and restaurants is 3 miles and Llandudno with more shops, bars and restaurants less than 10 minutes drive away. The award winning village of Rowen is 1 mile or 15 minute easy walk (bring a torch, no street lights) where you will find quaint cottages, beautiful gardens, a post office and a great village pub which hosts its famous Welsh singing every Friday night. Or you could stroll to our other local eatery, an Egon Ronay 16th Century Coaching inn, also a 15 minute walk. We are perfectly positioned to explore all that this beautiful area has to offer. A car is advisable as public transport is limited. Smart/casual dress please and sorry, no children or pets. Private parking within our gates and land. ARRIVALS ARE STRICTLY AFTER 4 PM. We are not staffed, so it is really important to us that you let us know your arrival time, so that we can make sure everything is ready for you.
