Located in the Diamond wing, these guestrooms feature a view of the vibrant city of Waikiki below to include street performers, musicians and human statues. This stylish room features a king-size or two double-size pillow-top Heavenly Beds, flat screen TV, a comfortable chair, a writing desk and chair and tile-floored baths with heavenly shower amenities. These guestrooms do not feature lanais. Average size room is 270 square feet. The hotel has four restaurants for your dining pleasure. Each restaurant provides a sweeping view of the ocean and offers atmosphere and cuisine from casual American favorites to exquisitely prepared continental classics. The hotel has a classic Victorian theme being the first hotel on the Waikiki Shores dating back to the early 1900s. Large white pillars and a sweeping driveway welcome you to this classy property. The lobby is medium in size with a waiting area for guests and tropical in theme with plants and flowers. The hotel offers sun-drenched outdoor activities, fine entertainment, cultural events, and world-class shopping. Pool and spa are on-site as well as an Aloha beach and activity desk to cater to your desires. The hotel is 100% non-smoking property. A charge of 200 USD reconditioning fee will apply to a guest if a non-smoking room is found to have been compromised. (0208/SD) The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources is conducting a project to restore sand to approximately 1,730 feet of shoreline from the west end of the Kuhio Beach, near the Duke Kahanamoku statue, to the existing Royal Hawaiian groin. Restoration work will be occuring on Waikiki Beach between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon daily. Pedestrians will be able to access the ocean during work times by crossing over the haul route at designated crossing locations. The Diamond Head end of Kuhio basin will remain off-limits for the duration of the project.
