Formerly a Royal Navy Admiral’s home, this Edwardian building boasts spectacular views over Portland harbour and Lyme Bay. YHA Portland also provides a communal kitchen, a TV lounge and free parking. The majority of rooms at this YHA hostel contain bunk beds, and all rooms share bathroom facilities. Guests can use the shared laundry, and there is a dining room and barbecue area to enjoy meals together. Portland is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Chesil Beach is 5 minutes’ walk away, whilst Weymouth’s award-winning beach is 5 miles away. There are restaurants within a few hundred metres. Within a few minutes’ walk guests can take part in sailing, climbing, diving, wind surfing and other water sports.
