Miyoshiya Ryokan

At the entrance of Kumano-Kodo, Miyoshiya Ryokan offers Japanese-style rooms, bicycle rentals and free Wi-Fi at the lobby. It’s a mere 5-minute stroll from JR Kii-Tanabe Station, and features a garden and vending machines. Facilities include a launderette and free parking. Ryokan Miyoshiya is a 20-minute drive from the Minamikata Kumagusu Archives (Kenshokan), while JR Osaka Station is 2 hours by train or car. The Japanese-style hotel offers luggage storage, and it can arrange car rentals. Information and advice about the Kumano-Kodo are available. Rooms feature a Japanese interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and a low table with seating cushions or a kotatsu leg-warming table in winter. Some rooms have paper fusuma sliding doors that open to a seating area with chairs and a coffee table. All rooms have an LCD TV, traditional futon bedding and yukata robes. No meals are served.
