Originally built in 1861 and completely restored in 2009, The Old Oak features modern bathrooms with amenities, kitchenettes and heating in each luxury suite. The Old Oak Boutique Hotel features a colonial-inspired garden with herbs and vegetables, a beautiful rose garden, petanque court, and a courtyard patio with garden views. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Mangonui village, which is surrounded by restaurants and cafes, clothing and gift stores, historic buildings and museums. Mangonui is also the gateway to Cape Reinga, where you can enjoy a day trip and view the iconic lighthouse, ride the Te Paki sand dunes or take a drive on Ninety Mile Beach. You can also stop at Doubtless Bay’s picturesque beaches for some fish and chips. The hotel and grounds are smoke and vape free.
