Located in a residential area, on a hill, about 2km from the city centre, it offers excellent views over the harbour. In an excelente location, overlooking Funchal, this family-run hotel, combines a modest interior with friendly service, and provides a comfortable base from which to explore the island's many attractions. All the 46 rooms are small and simply furnished, but functional. They include a private bathroom and telephone; some have sea views and/or balcony (at a fee).The hotel facilities include a bar, breakfast and TV room, as well as an outdoor swimming pool. There is a small dining room and a large outside terrace, which is used for breakfast year-round and for dinner most of the year. All service is waiter service - no buffets.Breakfast is a simple, but fresh, continental breakfast. A cooked breakfast or home-made muesli and yoghurt, is available at a supplement.
