* Roads:
These two are the main roads passing by Bilbao:

  • Motorway A-8: Also called Autopista del Cantábrico (Motorway of the Bay of Biscay). It connects Bilbao with San Sebastian (to the east side of Spain) and with Santander (to the west). This motorway finishes in the French border.
  • Toll Motorway AP-68: Also called the Autopista Vasco-Aragonesa (Basque-Aragonian Motorway). It connects Bilbao with the cities of Logroño and Zaragoza. From this motorway you can access the following main Spanish roads:
    - Motorway A-1: the motorway that connects Madrid with Burgos (you will take it from Burgos).
    - Motorway A-2: the motorway that connects Zaragoza with Barcelona (you will take it from Zaragoza).
