The recommended trip is via Madrid-Valencia and Barcelona-Valencia, although there are direct links from Madrid to Gandia during the summer.

The service Cercanias RENFE runs between Gandia and Valencia every 30 minutes on weekdays.

• From Valencia: the toll motorway AP-7 goes all along the eastern coast of Spain, from north to south. You can take the AP-7 until you can take the road N-332, the one that goes into Gandía.
• From Alicante: the road N-332 communicates Gandía with southern Alicante, passing by a good number of tourist towns.
• From Madrid: the fastest way to go to Gandía is getting to Valencia driving along the motorway A-3, and continuing from there to Gandía.

  The palace was built and restored throughout seven centuries, from the 14^th century to the 20^th century. In this palace, the Royal Dukes of Crown of Aragón had their main residence.

• Castillo de Bairén
  This castle dates back to Muslim era and has 3 parts: the shelter for the rural population, the castle in itself and the village. Although the castle is ruined, it is worth visiting, as it was the background of one of the battles between the army of El Cid (the medieval Spanish hero), and the North-African Muslim troops.

• Alqueria del Duc
  Fortified building which was in ruins until it was purchased by the City of Gandia in 1981. It is a typical example of manor farmhouse with interior courtyard.

• Las Esclavas del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús
  Beautiful Neo-Gothic church dated from 1908. Now the main task of Las Esclavas is teaching.

  Gothic style. This collegiate church was built under the rule of the King Alfons el Vell (The Elder) during the 14^th and 15^th century, over the ruins of a mosque.
