By Train:

* Train Station:
The Spanish Railway Company, RENFE, offer a great variety of services from/to Málaga. One of the best is the high speed train AVE, which makes Madrid-Málaga in 2 hours and a half. To Madrid you will find also the TALGO 200 (4½ hours) and a cheaper but slower intercity train (6½ hours). It is possible also to travel to the cities nearby with the Cercanías train, or in the regional trains, for example the one going to Seville (2½ horas), Cordoba (two to 2½ hours), Granada (2½ hours), Ronda (1½ hours) or Barcelona (9½ to 13 hours).

By Bus:

* María Zambrano Bus Station:
You will find buses to/from Seville (2½ hours), Granada (1½ a dos hours), Cordoba (2½ hours), Antequera (50 minutes), Ronda (2 hours) and Madrid (6 hours). From here you will find also international departures, for example to France, Germany, Portugal and Morocco.

By Car or Motorbike:

* Roads:

  • Highway A-45 goes north to Antequera and Córdoba, from where you can take the highway A-6, Autovía de Andalucía, which starts in Madrid.
  • Highway A-7 goes all along the Mediterranean coast, from Algeciras in the west to Barcelona in the northeast, passing by some of the most famous beach cities in Malaga, such as Torremolinos, Marbella and Fuengirola.
