• Colegio Mayor de Santa Cruz (Dormitory of Santa Cruz)
  Founded by the Cardinal Pedro González de Mendoza in times of the Catholic Monarchs (1487), this old dormitory is one of the first Renaissance style buildings in Spain. During the Modern Era was the school for Austria's political and governmental elites. Currently, it serves as the Rectorate of the University of Valladolid.

• Casa de Cervantes (Cervantes' House)

• Palacio Real de Valladolid (Royal Palace of Valladolid)
  This palace became the official residence of the Kings of Spain between 1601 and 1606, as well as that of Napoleon during the Independence War. Pay special attention to the main patio, Renaissance style with Plateresque decoration.

• Palacio de Pimentel (Palace of Pimentel)
  Currently, it hosts the Council of the Province of Valladolid, but it was where King Felipe II was born. It was built in the 15^th century, but some elements have been added with time. It has an exhibition hall.

• La Catedral de Valladolid (Valladolid's Cathedral)
  Also know as the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, it is the headquarters of the archdiocese of Valladolid. It was created by the architect Juan de Herrera in the 16^th century and it is the only cathedral in Castilla that was not finished due to lack of funds. The altarpiece by Juan de Juni is worth seeing, apart from the Museo Diocesano y Catedralicio (Diocesan and Cathedral Museum).

• Iglesia Conventual de San Pablo (St. Paul's Church)
  This temple owned by the Order of the Dominique is one of the most representative buildings of Valladolid. Built in the 15^th century, its main facade is a master piece of the Isabelline Gothic and a fine piece of art. Currently, it hosts the Museo de Escultura (Museum of Sculpture).

• Iglesia de Santa María la Antigua (St. Mary The Old's Church)
  This church is dated from the 11^th century, although the oldest element that remains is the Romanesque tower, from the 12^th century. The rest of the building is gothic or neo-gothic style, as it was built during the 15^th century. In the 20^th century it was renewed again, as it was almost in ruins. Its big baroque facade, east of the Cathedral, belongs to the main building of the University and was sculpted and decorated by Narciso y Antonio Tomé.

• Monasterio de Santa Isabel (St. Isabel's Monastery)
  Built in the 16^th century, this church houses the processional statues of the Brotherhood of Santa Isabel. Inside, you can see the figures and a gorgeous 16^th century crucifix.

• Iglesia de la Vera Cruz (Church of the Vera Cruz)
  St. Pedro Regalado, Valladolid's patron saint, was baptized in this 15^th century church. Inside, the main highlight is a splendid Flemish triptych of painting and sculpture.

• Museo Diocesano y Catedralicio
  Inside the Cathedral, it exhibits a gorgeous collection of sculptures, paintings, gold and silver works and ornaments. The highlights are two busts of Pedro de Mena (Ecce Homo and la Dolorosa), two tombs of the 13^th century, the sculpture group Llanto sobre Cristo, and a silver Monstrance of the 16^th century by Juan de Arfe.

• Museo Nacional Colegio de San Gregorio (National Museum St. Gregory School)
  Before known as the National Museum of Sculpture, it exhibits a wide sculptural collection going from the Middle Ages till the 19^th century. The old School of St. Gregory (1496), is an example of the Isabelline Gothic with its façade coped with statues, heraldic symbols and flower motives. These are the more representative artists that you will find here: Alonso de Berruguete, Juan de Juni and Gregorio Fernández.

• La Casa Natal de José Zorrilla (José Zorrilla's Natal House)
  Here it was where this romantic poet and author of Don Juan Tenorio was born and where he came back after returning from Mexico. The house keeps his image alive through his personal items, his letters, his desk, his funerary mask and the objects that recreate the Spanish Romantic period.

  Designed by the architect Teodosio Torres and finished in 1890, it was really appreciated in its time because of its capacity and its comfortable seats. It has a very eclectic style, with touches of Romanesque and Neo-mudéjar.

• Calle Juan Mambrilla o Calle Francos
  Here you can see the Palace of the Zúñiga, in the number 24 of this street, dated from the 15^th century and in which don Álvaro de Luna (the right hand of Juan II of Castilla) stayed one night before his execution. Beside, you can see the Palace of the Mudarra, from the 16^th century and nowadays a Silesian Convents, a good example of the Valladolid purist Renaissance.
