Cannot believe that this is a 4 star hotel, everything is dirty and old. The bed was comfortable but the room noisy outside the door (not insulated for noise) and in the street outside the room.
Fortunatly it was not very busy as there is only one very old and slow lift. - 4.2An oldie but a goodieAlexis - Dec 4, 2023
Cannot question the location, right on the sea front smack in the middle of The Lanes - which houses endless eateries and shops. The hotel is an oldie and certainly a little tattered around the edges but staff are welcoming and reasonable standards withheld.
Car parking is first come first serve, highly reccomend getting in there early otherwise you face the jaw dropping fees of the public car parks - not advisable! - 3Anonymous - Aug 1, 2016
We got a room right outside the lift and there were a lot of hen-do / stag-do parties or drunk people that walked past our room in the middle of the night to early morning that kept on waking us up (DON'T stay in room 104). Our room is right outside the exhaust pipes so we couldn't open the window - it's loud and the air is not ideal, but there's no A/C in the hotel rooms either. Luckily it wasn't that hot but it it's still not pleasant. Room is old and the bathroom wasn't as clean as usual hotel standard (they left the last guest's soap on the soap rack). I'll bring your own slippers as well as the carpet didn't seem clean and they don't supply ropes nor slippers.Great staff, very dog-friendly. Lovely breakfast and unbeatable location.

Reception poorly sited from main door, TACKY TACKY TACKY STEAK ON SEA! What a name! Cheap laminated menus, seems hotel has lost its , does it want to be classy or tacky. Looks so bad from the front with the steak on sea attached to the hotel. Room decor is dated. Bathroom was shabby, damaged door, dated fittings and decor. No mini bar. Definetly will not be staying again, would be embarrassed to bring a friend or my partner. THIS HOTEL IS REALLY NOT A MODERN 4 STAR, WHO ARE YOU KIDDING? .nice main entrance area, wooden decor, nice seating areas in lobby, bar pleasant.
