The Baglio Oneto of the Princes of San Lorenzo is born from an ancient noble residence from the 1700s, a fabulous 5 Star Resort located in Marsala on a hill and only 8 Km from Marsala city and a sandy beach. Its dominating position allows a spectacular view of the sea, the Egadi Islands and the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone, up to Mount Erice on one side and the extreme western tip of Sicily on the other.
The Hotel is managed by the descendants of the Oneto family, the Resort is a true luxury Boutique Hotel, receives its guests with kindness and attention to detail so that they can enjoy a unique welcome, what the owners identify as the "Noble art of hospitality". A perfect destination for those looking for a first-class eno-gastronomic experience thanks to the cuisine of the "La Calandra" restaurant and the historic "aging cellar" for tasting the wine and extra virgin olive oil produced.
The term "baglio" derives from Arabic and means "Fortified House". Baglio Oneto is protected by high walls and was founded in the 1700's to produce wine, oil and fresh produce. Even today, under the careful management of the family 8 types of wine, including the famous Marsala DOC meditation wine and extra virgin olive oil are produced. The aromatic herbs produced inside the baglio give the dishes the ancient flavors of the Sicilian tradition.
Today the Resort consists of 49 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a panoramic swimming pool with a view of the sea and the islands. Specialized staff will accompany guests to their reserved room. The Superior Room category overlooking the Marsala countryside, Deluxe with sea and islands view, Junior Suite vineyard or sea view with private lounge and the Historical Tower.
