Hotel Fenals Garden

I have stayed in several hotels in Lloret de Mar, and this was my first time here. The next time I visit Lloret, this will be my first choice. Everything was perfect: the rooms, cleanliness, pools, food, and especially the staff. I traveled with my father, who needs a wheelchair, and at all times, the hotel staff made things easy for us. Everything was a 10 out of 10.

Overall, this hotel is very decent, offering unbeatable value for money. Furthermore, one should not expect a four-star experience by French standards; we are in Spain and hotel references are different. The food is average but acceptable. To conclude, we had a good stay.

WE ARRIVED AT 8:00 PM. I REQUESTED A ROOM WITH A POOL VIEW, BUT THEY GAVE ME ONE WITH A CITY VIEW. THE HOTEL SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT BECAUSE DESENIA HAD ONLY GIVEN THEM A STANDARD ROOM. I CONTACTED DESENIA, AND THE SOLUTION WAS TO EITHER WAIT TO SEE IF THEY HAD ANY AVAILABLE IN THE NEXT DAYS, WHICH WAS IMPOSSIBLE, OR ACCEPT A COMPENSATION OF 100 EUROS AND STAY IN THE ROOM I WAS IN. I HAD TO ACCEPT THE COMPENSATION KNOWING I WAS LOSING MONEY. IN THE ROOM WHERE I STAYED, WHICH WAS 2218, THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN UNLESS YOU FORCED IT, AND THE TOILET WAS LEAKING WATER AT ALL TIMES. THE CLEANING SERVICE WAS BASIC; THEY MADE THE BEDS, BUT DID NOT ATTEND TO THE BABY'S CRIB. THE BUFFET HAD LITTLE VARIETY; I RECOMMEND PREPARING MEALS IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN, AS THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING FOR THEM TO EAT AT DINNER. ONE DAY WE ARRIVED LATE, AND I GIVE THEM A 10 FOR THAT BECAUSE I CAN'T GIVE MORE; THEY LET US EAT WHAT WAS LEFT AND SERVED US A PLATE WITH A VARIETY OF FOOD, WHICH I APPRECIATE A LOT. THE POOL WAS VERY NICE AND FUN FOR THE KIDS.

The hotel is immersed in a family atmosphere, which is very pleasant as it is far from the huge factory-style hotels. The staff is absolutely welcoming and adorable, smiling and attentive. Special mention to the restaurant and bar manager, who is incredibly kind and extremely welcoming. The cooks and servers are top-notch. The hotel is located just a stone's throw from the sea.

After reading some negative comments, I honestly arrived with fear... but I have to say that it has been 4 fantastic days, we enjoyed it to the fullest, resting, eating, and at the pool all the time!!!! WONDERFUL, my 7-year-old daughter had a great time.
