L’Arpège : 3 stars
Located on rue de Varennes in the 7ᵉ arrondissement, l’Arpège is Alain Passard’s place of experimentation. This chef, known worldwide for his celebration of vegetables, is passionate and generous. He brings back treasures from his vegetable gardens and creates his menus according to the seasons and inspiration. His ambition is to “make vegetables a great vintage”, all in a concern for eco-responsibility, because the chef likes to work in confidence with his suppliers. The €185 lunch menu is always different, depending on the inspiration of the chefs, while the €490 dinner menu is a farandole of 13 dishes featuring vegetables. At L’Arpège, you are welcomed in a garden, the armchairs are made of rattan, the walls are decorated with delicate plant frescos. One could think one was in a vegetable garden and almost hear the birds singing.

Contrast: 1 star
Contrast is the surprising alliance of the Breton chef Erwan Ledru and the Perpignanese Kévin de Porre. It is also a reference to the difference between the old cachet of the place and its contemporary decoration. Contrasts and mixtures of origins, which you will find in the plate with mastered land-sea agreements: like the Breton lobster with buckwheat, the monkfish with shellfish and chorizo, the Iberian pig accompanied by an oyster from Cancale. The menu is short, because the chefs cook seasonal products. The prices are very affordable for a starred restaurant: the lunch menu is 42 € and the tasting menu is 90 €.

MoSuKe : 1 star
Chef Mory Sacko became very popular thanks to the TopChef 2021 show. He moved to the 14ᵉ arrondissement to open his new restaurant MoSuKe. Of Malian origin, fascinated by Japan, MoSuKe is the fusion of the first name of the chief and Yasuke, the only African samurai to have existed in the Land of the Rising Sun. The result is singular: Mory Sacko delivers a mixed and very inventive cuisine. The sticky rice with tam-miso and mushrooms or the beef picanha with tamarind maté sauce are two examples. Such a success deserves a star. This address promises you a beautiful culinary journey.
