The character of the Andalusians, the beauty of the city, its exquisite gastronomy, the mixture of medieval and modern architecture, its parks and flowers: everything in Seville is designed to make fun the common denominator on vacation. Young and old, men and women, everyone will find in the Andalusian capital the most fun and great plans to have a great time.
Sevilla cup by cup
The wines from the area of Seville and the nearby city of Jerez have a very special character and flavor, most have been matured in Scottish oak casks that were used to store whiskey. One of the most fun plans you can do in Seville is to follow the wine route through some emblematic bars. The terraces of many offer the manzanilla, the most requested in the city, and in the hot months the rebujito, which is made with manzanilla and lime soda. To drink typical wines, we recommend El Rinconcillo, Bodeguita Blanco Cerillo or Las Teresas, although you have many options in all neighborhoods of the city. The vermouth can be made at Casa Vizcaíno.

Seville by boat
Like any city built facing a river, Seville offers many options for boat tours and navigation. If you are interested in having another point of view of the city and some of its neighborhoods, then you can not miss going aboard a boat that sails along the Guadalquivir. The route passes through some of the pavilions of the 1992 Universal Exposition of Seville, the Maestranza Bullring and some of the most visited convents and monasteries. You will also see from the river the Plaza de la Exposición Iberoamericana of 1929, some of the most important bridges, the Triana neighborhood and the Torre del Oro. Departures are from the Marqués del Contadero pier and the route can be extended to San Lúcar de Barrameda. The normal tour costs €18 per person or €15 if booked online, while the extended tour costs €39 for adults, €35 for seniors over 65 and €20 for children up to 12 years old.

April Fair
If you go to Seville during the Feria de Abril, you will find all the fun you need for your vacation. In fact, along with Easter, it is the great popular event of the city, attracting tourists from Spain and all over the world.
The fairground is located in the area of Los Remedios, occupies about half a million square meters and has more than a thousand private booths and about 20 that are open to the public and prepared for tourists visiting Seville, with lots of music, beer, wine and tapas. You can’t miss the opening night, when all the lights are turned on in an amazing spectacle and a week of non-stop partying begins with fire works over the Guadalquivir River.

Garlochí, the favorite bar of the Holy Week
A unique and must-visit bar in Seville is the Garlochí, located in the Alameda de Hércules area, which stands out for its typical Easter decoration. Many people say “holy mass” when they enter and it is not a church, even if they drink the blood of Christ, the classic drink of this bar, which is a mixture of champagne, whiskey and grenadine. The decoration of the place is fascinating with statuettes of saints and virgins, lots of velvet and gold, candles, incense and red carnations.
Climb to the Mirador de las Setas of Seville
The Plaza de la Encarnación, better known as Las Setas de Sevilla, has a viewpoint where you can climb to have the best panoramic views of the city. It is a wooden structure with a very modern design and has dimensions of 150 x 70 meters at a height of 26 meters. It is a 360 º view that will give you the best frames for your vacation photos and you can stay as long as you want in the gastrobar of the viewpoint, tasting the best tapas.

A visit to the aquatic world
The Aquarium of Seville is a perfect place to enjoy with the family and to live a different experience, because it is not a typical aquarium, but a themed visit that recreates the spectacular feat of Magellan in his circumnavigation of the world. Children and adults learn about history while observing how marine species thrive in the world’s seas. This theme is no coincidence, since the Portuguese explorer set out from Seville in 1519 to begin his adventure, from the Guadalquivir to cross the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. As the voyage progresses, you will discover all the aquatic species that Elcano and Magellan sighted on their voyage.

The most typical gastronomy
If you want to enjoy typical Andalusian cuisine in the Sevillian variant, we recommend you visit the Torre de los Perdigones Restaurant (an old pellet factory), with good wines and gourmet tapas; and the Abades Triana on Betis street, facing the river and overlooking the Torre del Oro.

A stroll through the Alameda de Hércules
It is an alameda with a wide and central square, which is currently one of the busiest areas of Seville, with many bars and restaurants with modern cuisine. The most striking feature of this corner are its two imposing columns, built in 1574, when this public garden was inaugurated under the reign of Charles III. We recommend you to visit this area in the evening, when it is more lively, and visit its tapas and cocktail bars where you have a wide variety to choose from and enjoy with your partner, family or friends.

Flamenco with the greatest authenticity
A fascinating place where you can enjoy the most traditional and authentic flamenco is Torres de la Macarena, the most famous and largest flamenco club in the city, which is usually attended by more than 200 people. It is open to the public every day from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It is a unique place in the city to live the flamenco experience without any artifice or additions for tourism but to appreciate it as it was done in ancient times, as a large gathering of friends, with the closeness of the space and without the use of public address systems.
