The climate in Valencia, as in most of the territory facing the Mediterranean, is very mild and pleasant almost all year round. But the best time for sightseeing in the city is during the spring and summer, that is, from March to September. The weather in Valencia, in general, is usually humid and hot, with a temperate annual average temperature of around 18 °C and practically nonexistent extreme values. Mild winters, hot summers and scarce rainfall are the most constant features of Valencia’s climate.

Average summer temperatures are around 28 °C between June and early September, and between 30 and 32 °C in July and August, always the hottest months. And the hotter days are usually preceded by a refreshing Mediterranean breeze, which makes them much more pleasant. Some heat waves can also occur when the wind blows from the interior of the peninsula, when temperatures can reach 40 °C.

If street life is very dynamic in spring, in summer this increases considerably with concerts, games and multiple events on the shores of the city of Valencia and nearby beaches. The big event of the winter in Valencia, especially at the end, and which also marks the beginning of spring, is the famous Fallas, from March 15 to 19. For a week, the whole city gathers around huge bonfires and giant dolls with different figures in a festival recognized as World Cultural Heritage by Unesco that attracts many tourists.

The months of January and February maintain the trend of low prices, but in March they rise considerably due to the Fallas, and it is almost impossible to get flights or hotel availability if both are not booked at least three or four months in advance.
