How can I change or cancel my train reservation?

As a general rule, train reservations cannot be changed or cancelled. Depending on each reservation and the fare selected, the rail companies may or may not allow changes or cancellations.

In the case of a reservation within the Spanish territory with Renfe, the conditions of each fare are the following:

Changes: A penalty of 20% of the exchanged ticket, plus the fare difference (if any) will be charged.

Cancellations: Cancellation fee of 30% of the price of each ticket cancelled.

Changes: No charge for changes that maintain the same origin and destination. The customer will have to pay the difference between the new and the original fare, if any.

Cancellations: Cancellation fee of 40% of the price of each ticket cancelled.

Changes: No charge for changes that maintain the same origin and destination. The customer will have to pay the difference between the new and the original fare, if any.

Cancellations: Cancellation fee of 5% of the price of each ticket.
