Cancun might be a famous multicultural holiday resort, but it still boasts a number of delicious local dishes for tourists to sample. Some of the dishes that you should make every effort to seek out include papadzules which is soft, creamy dish made with chicken, pork, or eggs, huevos motulenos which is fried eggs served with black beans, and panuchos yucatecos which is refried beans topped with chicken, onion, lettuce, avocado, and cheese.

Cancun is a party region that hosts a large number of different celebrations and festivals over the course of the year. Some of the most famous and most anticipated every year include the traditional Carnival in March, the amazing Cinco de Mayo celebrations every May which is also a national holiday, and the Feast Of Our Lady Carmen that takes place every July.

All across the Cancun hotel zone, there is a bus system that runs for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a completely safe service that hotel guests and tourists alike can feel at ease using. There are also private taxi companies that offer services to those who wish to make more personal and immediate travel arrangements from place to place.

The climate in Cancun

Cancun is classed as having a tropical climate, specifically tropical ‘wet and dry’. This means that weather can vary greatly between the seasons. Temperatures are high all year round with an annual average of 27 degrees, but something to keep in mind is that rainy seasons occur from May to October. Dry season, and therefore the most recommended time to visit, is from December to April.
